Path to Science Initiative – Dr. Taabazuing

From Lehman Macaulay alumna Whitney Diaz Gochez (MD.PHD candidate, Weill Cornell Medicine): Please join this year’s first monthly series entitled Path to Science Initiative: A URM’s Journey on Tuesday,  February 15th from 2-3PM. Our talk will be hosted by Dr. Taabazuing. He will discuss key factors that have influenced his success as a URM in science: community, mentors, making a difference and addressing significant questions in scientific areas. He will also briefly discuss some of the diverse research projects his group is working on.

The primary focus of these talks is to expose URM students in WCM to the research and the career journeys of URM faculty and industry professionals. They are an hour long in which the Industry professional or PI will take 30 min to talk about their science, 20 minutes to talk about the path they took to where they are now, and a Q&A session. They are held every 2nd Tuesday of the month from 2-3 PM.
